Halloween is just days away and if you are anything like me well you might be a procrastinator and have yet to plan your halloween costume.
I have been so busy getting settled in here in Bahrain that I completely forgot about Halloween and costumes for the kids much less myself. Unfortunately there isn’t much to choose from here on the island but we managed to snag some costumes for the little ones before they were gone. I was well aware that finding an outfit for myself was completely out of the question considering there was NOTHING to choose from and I really didn’t wan’t to be a sexy “pregnant” kitten. I could go without a costume but what is the fun in that!?
So I have put together 5 last minute DIY costumes that you most likely already have in your closet!!!
1.) Classic Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast At Tiffany’s
I pulled this look from last year’s Halloween Costume. My take on the LBD Audrey Hepburn.
If you have a black tulle skirt and black top you are set. Just add pearls and statement necklace, sunnies, and top knot. A simple LBD will do just fine too. If you happen to have long black gloves, a lady cigarette holder, and mini tiara as well then you are going to be on point with this costume!!! This is such a classic, feminine, and modest look that is sure to turn some heads.
2.) Holly Golightly
This is a favorite of mine! I love everything about the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Audrey Hepburns character Holly Golightly! I love the scene when Holly meets Paul, this is where this costume inspo comes from. All you need for this look is a long white button up, a blue eye mask, fringe earrings, and to go the extra mile an orange stuffed animal cat for your very own poor slob with no name Orangey cat!
3.) Risky Business
This is an easy one too! Long white button up, white socks, sunnies, and a plus would be a candle stick holder for singing purposes!
5.) Pretty Deer
This costume is just darling! I swoon over the deer make up looks every year. The make up is what makes the look come together perfectly. Top is off with a fur vest, black pants, boots, and a few a sticks in your hair for antlers and you are set. I’d recommend half up top knot, top knot pigtails to hold the sticks or if you have the time create a headband with sticks hot glued to it.
