I did a post a while back featuring Mustela and how I use their products to prevent dry skin and stretch marks. Well now I am back to share with you how my love for Mustela has grown even more since I had my baby, Ames, this past month.
With all my babies I simply adore that fresh newborn scent. Its like a new car smell I am addicted to it! So naturally I don’t want to wash away the smell too soon plus there is a period of waiting for the umbilical stump to fall off and if you have a little boy there is the circumcision ring that needs to heal as well. I quickly forgot how messy the first few days and week was getting to know my little one and getting into the groove of being a mommy to a newborn. There were many times I wanted to just put him in the bath to wash up. Luckily I have my Mustela cleansing water. Its hands down no questions asked my absolute favorite….too much? Well thats truly how much I love it! I was able to clean my little babe without having to use soap or water. I even carry a smaller bottle in my diaper bag for the accidental blow outs in public or when my older kidos get into a sticky situation. Its so light in fragrant and has no harsh chemicals because it is made with 98% natural ingredients.
Also during the early newborn weeks there are a ton of solid diapers which means extremely sensitive baby bums. For a while I was using cotton sheets soaked in warm water to wipe my baby clean but that got old real fast after the first week especially in the middle of the night. I am all for making sure my baby is comfortable and while its common for newborns to experience diaper rash or redness I wanted to prevent that. I cannot explain to you how happy I am to have found the Mustela baby diaper wipes! They are soft and like their other products no harsh or harmful chemicals! With other wipes they just feel so rough and I can see more redness after using them. With Mustela I can easily clean my baby and you can tell he is more comfortable during the changing.
I used a wipe that was not Mustela brand to take off my make up and my face literally burned. So that right there is why I will only use Mustela wipes on my children.
After my sweet baby’s umbilical stump fell off and all was healed I finally got to give him his first real bath. I used the newborn foam wash. I love that it comes out as a foam, it makes the bath time process go a little more smoother. He smelled so fresh and clean after. We finished up by moisturizing with the massage oil and lotion.
There are so many wonderful Mustela products and as my baby and toddlers grow the more products we can use and love!
