I love this summer look. I will admit when I bought my first kimono I was rather intimidated by the length or what exactly to pair it with. When It comes to this long lace kimono I fell in love immediately I started thinking all the ways I could dress it but also my photographer self went straight to “oooo I could totally use this in a maternity session” haha Its really gorgeous and has the option to tie just under the bra line. With this look I decide to keep it untied so it wouldn’t take away from my bright floral summer dress.
The dress is a string tie back and personally I was feeling a bit exposed so the kimono gave me the layering I wanted as well as the coverage I needed.
I wasn’t to sure if I would like the heels since they cover most of the foot but I honestly love the look. Should have bought a pair sooner!
All right here is the fun part about the post. I am all about a great outfit wether it be amazing quality and a bit out of my price range or an equally as amazing outfit and well within my budget. Who doesn’t want to save money, right? I found the kimono at my favorite go to store Forever 21, the dress I found while checking out the new local Ross. Now let me tell you TJ MAXX , Marshall’s , And Home Goods rock my world!!! However Ross , while not the same company but same store concept, I have never been too fond of. The Ross I was exploring had just opened up and was so spotless , clean, and very easy to shop in. I spotted the bright yellow dress from across the store and luckily it was my size! WINNING!!!! I also found my shoes there as well. My bag….that color….le sigh. So pretty. I had been eyeing that color in every purse imaginable and when I saw the bright red clearance sticker on this bag while aimlessly wandering the aisles of Target, throwing amazing nonsense that I did not EVEN need into my cart, I made a bee line for it and to my advantage it was 50% off, plus a coupon in Cartwheel, PLUS my Red Card 5% discount! BAM!
If you have a Ross in your area you might get lucky and find these exact pieces and same with Target if the bag hasn’t sold out yet….either way I have posted similar items to help you achieve this look.
